Graduate Software Engineer

A junior software engineering role suitable for recent IT graduates.

Position Summary

Primary responsibilities include working in a team of software engineers to develop new capabilities, fix bugs and maintain the intelliHR Software-as-a-Service platform.

Secondary responsibilities may include:

• Basic assistance of other staff in technical troubleshooting
• Communicating with customers or stakeholders to triage problems or learn about new requirements
• Attending professional events such as conferences

Technical Capabilities

Over time there is the expectancy that you will develop a basic competency in full-stack development skills and identify a focus area you wish to develop a deeper expertise in. It is expected that you will acquire knowledge in the following technical skills:

• Fluency in modern JavaScript
• React for building front-end components and views
• GraphQL for querying backend APIs
• REST APIs and other integration technologies such as webhooks
• Docker for building and deploying solutions to cloud infrastructure
• Some knowledge of Python, PHP/Laravel, and NodeJS for developing backend services
• Amazon Web Services APIs, Services and Infrastructure patterns
