Junior UX Design Engineer

A UX designer with burgeoning coding skills who is able to consistently deliver quality solutions within a software engineering team.

Position Summary

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Development of user experience solution designs
• Creation of designs and high-fidelity UX prototypes for product features
• Assist in establishing design patterns for the company
• Use and contribute to design systems and component libraries
• Use and contribute to user journeys, personas and story maps

Secondary responsibilities may include:

• Research and development of emerging UX patterns
• Attending professional events such as conferences to learn industry best practices and new technologies

Expected Behaviours

• Work proactively to determine the requirements of new product goals
• Integrate deeply with engineering team to deliver product goals
• Develop your knowledge with training courses and learning materials
• Perpetually research emerging patterns in UX, especially within SaaS industry

Technical Capabilities

Development:

• Build UX mockups using online prototyping tools (eg. Figma)
• Able to contribute to UX code assets and repositories
• Able to contribute to React component libraries
• Understand and adhere to design systems and patterns
• Able to triage front-end bugs, and perform debugging

Architecture:

• Have an understanding of how different front-end services fit into the overall system
